Димитър Списаревски

На 20 декември 1943 г. армада американски бомбардировачи Б-24 Либърейтър /"Освободител"/ се насочва да бомбардира за пореден път София. Димитър Списаревски е един от изтребителите на бойно дежурство на летище Божурище с Месершмит Ме-109G-2, които трябва да пресрещнат „освободителите“ преди да достигнат града.

Според бойния дневник на 3/6 изтребителен орляк, в който лети Списаревски, битката протича по следния начин: Либърейтърите летят към София в клинов строй по тройки, ешелонирани в тилна колона, краят на която се губи до хоризонта. Българите формират насрещен боен ред, ешелонирани поятно, по четворки в тилна колона. Летят срещу противниковите самолети на 6000 метра височина. Орлякът има задачата да завърже бой с противниковите изтребители, двутелите П-38 Лайтнинг, а в това време другият орляк — 2/6, да удари бомбардировачите и да ги принуди да хвърлят бомбите си извън София.

Самолетът на Списаревски не успява да стартира, затова той излита с резервна машина, със закъснение след другите. Това е първият му въздушен бой. Когато достига до бомбардировачите, въздушният бой вече е започнал. Списаревски се измъква от два американски изтребителя, насочва към група от 16 Либърейтъра и без да спре стрелбата се блъска във водаческата машина. Бомбардировачът е разцепен във въздуха, спасява се само опашният стрелец, който е изхвърлен заедно с картечниците от ударната вълна. Самолетът на Списаревски пада на височините над село Пасарел, Софийско. Тялото му е открито сред отломките. От другата страна на селото пада поразеният бомбардировач. За свалянето на един четиримоторен бомбардировач са му признати три въздушни победи. Има различни свидетелства за тарана, но единствен реален очевидец е пилотът на американски изтребител, който малко след това също е свален и пленен.

Димитър Списаревски е произведен посмъртно в чин капитан. Погребан е в Централните софийски гробища, Алеята на летците.

World Marks 30 Years without John Lennon

Music fans commemorate Wednesday John Lennon, the legendary Beatles frontman who was shot dead 30 years ago on that day.

Lennon was hit by four billets just as he was entering his luxury apartment building in Manhattan. The killer -Mark Chapman - has pleaded guilty and is currently serving a life sentence in Attica prison near New York.
